Manual Update Galaxy S3 mini i8190 with Official XXAME1 Jellybean 4 1 2 Firmware

 Here’s something for Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone users as there’s an all new firmware for the device and is dubbed as Jellybean 4.1.2 XXAME1 firmware version which comes with some bug fixes along with some minor tweaks here and there of which we are not having the exact change log. So, for all those who have not got this update can apply this update manually. Before we proceed on to check on what are the list of instructions to apply this update, you will have to follow the list of quick pre requisites mentioned below;



Note: Applying this firmware won’t Root / Void the warranty in any manner. It’s completely safe to apply this update manually.
Quick Pre Requisites:
  • Create a backup of all the data with the help of below mentioned steps and not with the Samsung KIES as your device may not detect with the KIES after applying this update as till now this update might not have arrived for your Country.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – 
Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log -
Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings –
Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
  • Enable the USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” and also you will have to ensure that the minimum battery life should be 30% so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of update. Disable / uninstall all the security suites installed in your phone.
  • Now, turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode in Galaxy S III Mini can be entered by pressing the Volume Up + Menu Button and then holding these both buttons, you will need to turn ON the device so that it can be entered in the Recovery Mode.
  • In Recovery Mode, clear all the cache and wipe the data by selecting the corresponding options. Once it’s done, reboot the device in the Normal Mode. If you are on custom ROM firmware, then you also need to clear the dalvik cache.

Procedure to Update Galaxy S3 Mini i8190 Smartphone with Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
  • Open Odin in your computer. Download Mode in Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 can be entered by first turning Off the device and then hold Volume Down Rocker Key + Menu Button and then Power ON the device. Once the device is booted and you see the Download Mode Green Robot, you can release the button combos.
  • Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow / Green, indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.
  • Click on “PDA” to select the tar file which you got from the firmware package which is the TAR File which you got after extracting the file from the first step.
  • Once all the file is selected, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Once the firmware update process is completed which will be mentioned in the ODIN, the Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 device will be rebooted.
  • For firmware update to be finished, it will take around 2-3 minutes for applying the update. Once the device is updated successfully, the device will be rebooted. As soon as you see the Language preferences or the Home Screen, you need to disconnect the device from computer and enjoy using your phone.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome Lcd, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Mega 6 3 I9200 with Android 4 4 2 XXUDNE4 KitKat Official Firmware Using Odin Guide


Announced in April 2013, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is now available for purchase in several countries in the world. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 - as in a 6.3" Lcd, comes with 3G (GT-I9200) and LTE (GT-I9205) version that runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Followed by the market rollout, XDA-Developers member VCore has released root method for both I9200 and I9205 version of Galaxy Mega 6.3.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 users who wish to root their devices, may follow our step-by-step guide.
Disclaimer: Rooting voids the warranty of your device. We and the developer of this rooting procedures shall not be held responsible if any undesirable outcomes may happen to your device. use of this root guide is solely at your own risk!
Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Driver for Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 per cent.
6. The Root Package file works only on Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. Applying these to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Mega 6.3 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.
Files Required
1. Root Package for Galaxy Mega 6.3 (vcoreroot-v2.tar)
2. Odin 3.07 (Mirror Link)
Steps to Root Galaxy Mega 6.3 Running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Odin 3.07 file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool.
Step 2: Switch off the Galaxy Mega 6.3. Then boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on Lcd. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 3: Launch Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 4: Connect the Galaxy Mega 6.3 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.
Step 5: In Odin, click the PDA button and select the vcoreroot-v2.tar file.
Step 6: Verify that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option in Odin is not selected.
Step 7: Double-check and click Start in Odin. The installation process will now begin.
Step 8: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware is now rooted successfully. You can now install any app that requires root permission. Verify the root status of the device by downloading Root Checker app from Google Play Store.

Please note, this is very early build and you should expect some bugs in it. All bugs and issues expected to be fixed as development progress towards a better build....


Warning!
This tutorial is only for Oppo Find 5. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. However, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions as it is which are mentioned in procedure. 



Pre Requisites:

1. Backup your device data.

2. Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.

3. You already have USB Driver Installed for Oppo Find 5 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and Oppo Find 5. 

5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.1 and up installed.

If you done everything that we mentioned above then you are ready to follow step-by-step guide on how to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based OmniROM on Oppo Find 5.

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based Omni ROM on Oppo Find 5

  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device.Important: Don’t extract any files.
  2. Disconnect USB and then turn off your Oppo Find 5.
  3. Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Down and Power button together. You should see recovery menu soon. In recovery use Volume Keys to navigate between option and Power to select an option. 
  4. Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next Lcd, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
  5. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next Lcd to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advanceoption to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
  6. Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the OmniROM Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install .zip on the next Lcd. The ROM installation will begin.
  7. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the gapps-kk-20131119.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
  8. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your Oppo Find 5 and boot up into rooted Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM Omni. 
  9. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM Omni is now installed and running on your Oppo Find 5.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance to JB to 4 1 2

IF ANY JELLYBEAN UPDATE IS ALREADY AVAILABLE FOR YOUR HANDSET SO DONT TRY THIS BECAUSE THIS IS ONLY AVILABLE FOR INDIAN VERSION PHONES.

1.Download the android 4.1.2 jellybean CUSTOM ROM and Extract it.
2.Download Odin for windows from HERE.
3.Install Samsung USB Drivers
Windows 64 Bit from Here.
4.Turn off your galaxy s advance and reboot in download mode by pressing HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN BUTTON at the same time.





5.The device will reboot in download mode and you will see a warning to install Custom ROMS.Press Volume Up button to Continue and do not switch it off.
6.Now Open Odin on your PC and connect your phone to PC via Orignal USB Cable.
7. When you connect the phone in download mode to Odin then the field under the "ID:COM" in Odin will turn blue and show you the Connection ID. Also in Message Box you will see " Added!!" .This means that your Galaxy S Advance I9070 is now ready for Flashing into Android JELLYBEAN 4.1.2.



8. Now put a check in front of "PDA" then click "PDA"in Odin and Browse the EXTRACTED Android Jellybean 4.1.2
ROM File [.tar.md5 File] which you have downloaded. [Note:-It will replace the Old Rom.]

9. Now click "Start".You will see progress in the progress bar above ID:COM.

10. After completion your Galaxy S Advance will Auto Reboot and start with latest android 4.1.2 jellybean update.


After Reboot again Switch Off Your Device into Recovery Mode By pressing Volume Up Button + Home Button + Lock Button all at the Same Time.
2.The device will automatically boot in recovery mode.You can move up and down by pressing Volume Up and Down buttons. Now select “wipe data/factory reset”.
3. The device will be wiped and factory reset. Then Tap "Back Key" and select “wipe cache partition”.4.After wiping cache partition go back and select “reboot system now”.
5.Now galaxy s advance will work perfectly.

If you see any other language during Android setup then change it to English.
Now you have installed Android 4.1.2 XXLQ4 jellybean update on Samasung Galaxy S Advance I9070.

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based AOKP ROM on Sony Xperia ZL
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device.Important: Don’t extract any files.
  2. Disconnect USB and then turn off your Sony Xperia ZL.
  3. Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, reboot phone and press Volume Up button few times while booting. [in recovery use volume buttons to scroll and Power button to select]. 
  4. Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
  5. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advanceoption to perform Dalvik cache wiping.

  7. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the gapps-kk-20131119.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
  8. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your Sony Xperia ZL and boot up into rooted Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM AOKP. 
  9. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 custom firmware based KitKat AOKP ROM has now been installed and running on your Sony Xperia ZL.

Note: the root is turned off by default in CM derived Rom, you must first enable the developer settings (press the build number under about 8 times the device), then the root under settings enable developers

How to perform soft reset and hard reset ( master reset ) Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 I497 via Settings menu and External hardware keys:

Hard reset via Settings menu



  1. select Settings from the home screen
  2. select Backup & reset
  3. select Factory data reset 
  4. select Reset device
  5. select Delete all. It will automatically reset and may not function for up to 15 minutes following the master reset.

To avoid permanent damage to your device, do not restart your device while a reset procedure is underway.

Warning! All data will be erased from device memory, including system and application data, settings and downloaded applications. Back up your important data. The device will restore to factory settings.

Hard reset via external hardware keys by entering android system recovery



  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press dan hold Volume Up button and Power Button simultaneously till the screen turns up and Samsung logo blinks for two times.
  3. Then release the power key but keep the Volume Up key pressed till you see Android system recovery screen.
  4. select wipe data / factory reset using Volume Down key to highlight.
  5. Press home key.
  6. select reboot system now
  7. Press home key.
Only do this if you can not do it via Setting menu.

Performing Soft Reset

If your phone or tab hangs or does not responding, try to Press and hold power key about 10 seconds. It will rebooting automatically. Or try to remove and re insert the battery and SIM Card ( If available ).

How to Update Android 4 4 2 KitKat Official Firmware Using Samsung Galaxy Mega 6 3 I9200 Guide

Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Mega 6.3.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Mega 6.3 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn to light blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Step 7: Select the following files in Odin from extracted I9200XXUDNE4 firmware folder:
  • Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
  • Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Start button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process completes, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 I9200 should be now updated with Android 4.4.2 XXUDNE4 KitKat official firmware. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

Note: If Galaxy Mega 6.3 I9200 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

Pre-requisites
1. Install USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 on the computer.
2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings >> Developer Options.
3. Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
4. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.
5. Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent.
6. The Root Package works only on Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152. Applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device. Verify the model number of the Galaxy Mega 5.8 by navigating to Settings >> About Phone.

Steps to Root Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152 Running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Odin 3.07 file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool.
Step 2: Switch off the Galaxy Mega 5.8. Then boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 3: Launch Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 4: Connect the Galaxy Mega 5.8 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.

Step 5: In Odin, click the PDA button and select the I9152-JB_4.2.2-boot.tar file.
Step 6: Verify that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option is not selected.
Step 7: Double-check and click Start button in Odin. The installation process will now begin.
Step 8: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Note: If you can not update Superuser directly from the Google Play Store, here is the latest Superuser.apk. Just install it manually on the Galaxy Mega 5.8.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152 running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware is now rooted successfully. You can now install any app that requires root permission. Verify the root status of the device by downloading Root Checker app from Google Play Store.

How to Install Android 4 2 2 XWUAMG1 Jelly Bean Official Firmware Samsung Galaxy Mega 5 8 I9152 Odin Guide


Southeast Asian owners of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 with model number GT-I9152 have received a fairly minor update based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with firmware build number I9152XWUAMG1. The new official firmware is currently available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update as well as through Samsung KIES.

Steps to Update Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152 with Android 4.2.2 XWUAMG1 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1: Extract Firmware zip file using WinRAR/7-Zip/WinZip or any other extracting tool, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
Step 2: Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
Step 3: Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
Step 4: Boot the device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot icon with a warning triangle appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 5: Run Odin on the computer as an Administrator.
Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Mega 5.8 to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait until Odin detects the device. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box will turn blue with the COM port number. Additionally, the successful connected will be indicated by a message saying Added.
Note: If the Added message does not appear, then try re-install USB drivers or changing the port on the computer.
Step 7: Choose the following files in Odin from extracted I9152XWUAMG1 firmware folder by using respective checkboxes:
  • Select the PDA checkbox, and choose the file named .tar or .md5.
  • Click the Phone checkbox, and choose the file with modem in its name (ignore if there is no such file)
  • Click the CSC checkbox, and select the file with csc in its name (ignore if such file is missing)
  • Choose the PIT checkbox, and choose the .pit file. Use only the file obtained during extracting in step 1 above, otherwise ignore it.
Step 8: In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
Step 9: Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the START button to begin the installation process.
Step 10: Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152 should be now updated with official Android 4.2.2 XWUAMG1 Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.
Note: If Galaxy Mega 5.8 I9152 stuck at booting animation after Step 10 then go to recovery mode (press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together) and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option. Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.
